Full Story:
In January 2025, a seemingly ordinary house across from Kehillas
Zichron Yaakov of New Hempstead sold for $810,000 after being listed
for $779,00. The price alone raised eyebrows, considering it is a
basic 2,000 SQF, 4-bedroom high ranch that needed work, but it wasn’t
just the number that got people talking. It was the buyer: CHAVE
WOLODARSKY of New Square, a wife and mother of Yiddishe Kinder of her
own.
Why would a New Square resident, and this particular individual at
that, go to such lengths, for a home located directly across from one
of the many thriving Shuls “Within the Mile”? The answer, sadly, has
become all too familiar: because it’s not about the home. It’s about
the location. About sending a message. About control.
Kehillas Zichron Yaakov is no fledgling minyan, it is a vibrant,
growing Shul with over 60 frum families and hundreds of children. It’s
a warm, welcoming kehilla with a beloved Rav and a strong sense of
achdus. And it is precisely this strength that has made it a target.
On two separate Shabbosim in May and June 2025, this home hosted
large, disruptive parties on its front lawn — in full view of men and
children walking to and from Shul for Mincha and Maariv. It has also
held multiple yard sales on Shabbos, drawing crowds that included many
women dressed immodestly. Loud music, blatant pritzus, and a disregard
for the sanctity of Shabbos and the sensitivities of the neighborhood
have defined these occasions. These are not isolated lapses in
judgment; they are a direct affront to the beautiful communities that
exist “within the mile” and everything they and Yiddishkeit stands
for.
Every Shabbos, the glow of a large TV screen is clearly visible from
the street. And while no one would raise an eyebrow if this were out
of context, this is no coincidence. This is deliberate. This is
targeting.
What makes this more painful is that this wasn’t purchased by an
outsider unaware of our values. This was bought by a family, from New
Square, who knew exactly where they were buying, and exactly what kind
of community they were placing themselves in. And it seems clear that
the intent was not to join or strengthen the kehilla, but to undermine
it, or worse, intimidate it.
This is a heartbreaking and shameful chapter in what is becoming a
growing pattern of aggressive real estate takeovers by individuals
seeking to impose, not integrate. And in doing so, they sow division,
resentment, and deep pain.
Let’s be clear: Our neighborhoods are not up for manipulation. Our
families are not pawns. And our Shuls are not battlegrounds.
This isn’t about one party. Or one TV. It’s about a coordinated,
targeted effort to erode the heart of Torah communities by inserting
disruptive elements in our midst, all under the guise of “frumkeit.”
Enough is enough.
Within the Mile, we raise our voices not out of anger, but out of deep
love—for our communities, for our children, and for the kedusha we’ve
worked so hard to build.
We stand for respect. We stand for accountability. We stand for what’s right.
And we will not be silent.

I imagine this is what happened.
The buyer bought it for 750,000 or so. Then assigned the contract to his wife for 810,000, and got an 85 pct mortgage off the higher fraudulent price.
That’s how they are getting such high loan to value amounts, they created a fake value.
