On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 7:15 p.m. at the Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY. There will be a Public Hearing regarding the Village of New Square annexing additional properties into its borders.
Every expansion of New Square’s borders expands the so-called “Air Mile Policy”, a policy that systematically pushes out Yidden from their neighborhoods, disrupts peaceful kehillos, brings illegal housing, unsafe SROs, crime and pritzus into our streets.
What Skver Wants
- When Skver insists on making the surrounding neighborhoods “off limits,” that means they are effectively demanding that eight square miles around them be emptied of Yidden.
- In other words, one small village claims the right to try and dictate an area eight times its size.
We state unequivocally:
- So long as this policy of Judenrein expansion continues, we cannot allow the annexation of more land to New Square.
- When these policies stop, and homes are reverted to proper, legal use, there would be no objection to annexations. But until then, we must stand together and say: NO.
This is about protecting our kehillos, our families, and our children.
True Ahavas Yisroel means not trampling one another or erasing each other’s presence, but recognizing that every Yid whether they daven like you or live like me, is part of the same Klal Yisroel. Hashem put us here not to destroy each other’s neighborhoods, but to build together.
Therefore, we call upon men, women, and children to attend this hearing in person and demonstrate that our Kehillos will not remain silent in the face of policies that destroy Yiddishe neighborhoods. Your presence matters. Your voice matters.
Let us come together, with achdus and strength, to defend the dignity of our communities and to uphold true Ahavas Yisroel.

I will break it down for you
Let’s first establish that zoning laws apply equally to everyone: Yid and non-Yid, religious and non-religious.
What Skver is doing is a systematic policy of forcing Yidden out of their own neighborhoods with methods that are illegal. That is not kedusha. That is not Torah. That is illegal!
IKR is not pushing out and making the lives of Yidden miserable. We are protecting kedusha. We are protecting Torah. We are protecting Yidishe neighborhoods.
When Skver expands its borders, so does its ridiculous air mile policy. Stopping the annexation protects Yidishe families from harm.
Stopping annexation isn’t hypocrisy. It’s survival. It’s protecting Yidden. And that’s the Torah way. And that is exactly why annexation must be stopped.
We have no issues with Goyim living next to us. The issue we are contending with is that NS Sonei Yisroel are purposely placing multi-family homes and unbecoming people near us to make us uncomfortable. If they have a legal and ethical way to do it then sure, but what they are doing violates Halacha and the law outright countless times.

Than by definition the air mile policy pushes further and extends deeper into Monsey communities.
The air mile policy is based on the borders of Skver.
So stopping this expansion/anexation is an act of protecting the Yidishe neighborhoods. It will also protect neighborhoods that maybe are not even affected yet.
