These are the neighbors New Square fills our community with. Not one, not two, but 10-20+ in each single family house. Please note that this video was taken at 6am. There was also a knife fight in this house about a month ago and the police were called.
Imagine having this next door to your home or your child’s home. Imagine having over 350 of these in your neighborhood. Imagine that there was a group of people deliberately doing this to you. And imagine that they are aren’t stopping.
Would you allow this right next door to your home and Shul? Neither will we.

1 there’s zero right not to let people buy anywhere they want. They can ask beg not force.
2 ns people can also buy wherever they want for living or investment.
3 everyone should do everything legal no basement apartments no flips etc.
4 everyone wants to make the most money on their property but let’s try to find best tenants for the sake of neighbors ,we know more people in one house is more money . But try your best.
5 let’s try first to work on Linden Rossell and Rahway hundreds of houses bought and rented out also Williamsburg Houses built for artists , on ocean parkway few new projects for others that make neighborhood less safe . If we’ll be able to convince them that for few dollars don’t ruin our quiet neighborhood . It’ll be easier to convince people that even if you didn’t buy for money making just for keeping your values, loss some money and take smaller family’s for the sake of neighbors.
6 is there a heter to do mesira and call police for every noice ? Which Ruv is Matir ? Its damage to house owners. If yes let’s do it in linden where my neighbors also put in others making grills same for people in roselle and Rahway. Let’s try to look without any judgement . Don’t these guys have right to wanna live in separation? Can’t u respect someone with some other values then you? Wow this guy is 100 right! I was all mixed up reading this whole story. Because it starts that halacha you can’t prevent people to buy in the mile { and that’s right}, but then the whole talk is to prevent any of them to buy in the mile for investment.So again I agree with all of yous ” you can’t prevent anyone of buying in the mile for any price and for whatever reason” even if the buyer is from New Square and wears the boots. And harassments are unforgivable on any side. So if you Skvere or neighbor don’t want him to be near you pay more and buy it. The only strong argument is ” put in nice tenants even if you earn less or loss a bit”. Is really a point. But me living in Boro Park sees it whole life all apartment buildings put on the higher floors not then best people because we wouldn’t pay the same for 6th floor . So why are you attacking a full community when this goes on for decades everywhere? So you believe for much more money you are aloud to bring in all garbage in our communities, they believe for their fundamental values they can also. No one is attacking a full community. In fact, most of the people that live in New Square agree that what their leadership is doing is disgusting and are ashamed of it.
The problem here is simple, New Square went on a campaign to destrpy and eradicate an entire frum community.
There is simply no way to justify it and the community will do what it takes to survive, and sometimes that will unafurtunatly have to potentially mean locking up a nice few criminals.
P.S. New Squares problem is not עיר הנידחת type of people, they’re way more afraid of real frum people. In fact, they ramped up their campaign when real frum hassidic people started moving in.
I also disagree with this whole fight , I feel they should just give up its not in thier hands , its becoming too dirty . Once you are in a מערכה you”ll loose the cool headed thinking and do alot of mistakes[and did did do quite alot] but understand from where they are coming . Again they didnt come to throw out a community they tried preventing the forming of one. and they have right to buy housses , but they need to be more carefull with tenants like everywhere where investors look for most profit.
Reality is, the community exists if you want it or not. What they’re doing now is trying to destroy the community and we’ll do whatever needs to be done to save our community.

Hi, such interesting thing going on. Wow!I actually lived in jersey city few years ago , we came there some neighbors were “terrible” . When we did research it was Jewish owned, like half the city there. We asked our Daas Torah if we can force them to change tenants , they said not really ! Don’t buy there if you don’t like it. So I wonder how we look at this , because they are buying after Heimish people live already . But on other hand when you buy you know that Skver is buying for tenants and they let you know very clearly that this is the plan. They were there before too. So maybe it’s dragon crying. Don’t buy and don’t cry. It’s complicated . In short having not good tenants is a problem were Heimesh people lived before . Not where people wanna come .
